Office seating assignment planner: who sits where this week
Free, no sign-up. Paste a roster and seats. Get this week’s grid.
An office seating assignment is who sits in which chair Monday through Friday. Paste names, paste seat labels, pick the office days. Copy the grid. This is not the desk-count calculator and not the visual floor canvas.
How to assign seats for the week
A weekly assignment beats a Slack thread that starts at 8:40am:
- Roster first. One name per line. People without a chair that day show as no seat — do not hide them.
- Seats are labels, not furniture SKUs. A1–A6 is enough. Match the labels you will put on the floor later.
- Same seat all week unless you rotate. Rotate only if the floor is a hotel and nobody owns a chair.
When the grid is honest, open the office planner and put those chairs on a sample floor. Saving the canvas is a different URL. This page stays usable with no account.

Not the floor canvas, not a desk count
The office planner is the floor: chairs on a sample canvas. This page is the week: a roster mapped onto seat labels. Size how many desks you need with the hot desk calculator first if the floor is still a guess.
Public beta is free. After beta the company pays $1 per employee at month end for that month’s headcount. No credit card to start. You can copy this assignment without installing anything.
Add to Slack when you want the monthly pulse in a private DM. The assignment grid stays free to copy.
