Office hoteling without an empty floor
Tuesday only works if the roster and the chairs agree.
Office hoteling sounds like a policy. In practice it is a Tuesday when three people commute in and the floor is empty, or the floor is full and there is no desk. Calendar status says in office. The chair does not. Software that shows available seats at the office is the search. A live week plus a floor beats a status emoji.
Who is in on Tuesday
Hybrid teams leak this information across Slack, calendars, and memory. Managers ping “who is coming in.” That thread is the product. It should be a grid.

Work mode on a calendar can be a lie, a leftover, or a hope. It is not an assigned chair. Pair work mode with a day-level seat if you need the floor to be true.
