How to run a survey in Slack without a new login

If the team lives in Slack, the check-in has to live there too.

The usual failure is not the questions. It is the extra tab. You buy a survey portal, mail a magic link, and watch Slack-first teams never log in. Then someone sends named reminders to people who never created the account. A survey in Slack that people finish is a private DM, not another password.

Why “survey Slack” searches land here

Survey in Slack, surveys in Slack, and “how survey employee happiness using Slack” are the same job: ask the team without leaving the tool they already open. Slack.com poll docs will not do that job. A Typeform parked in a channel will not either if it still demands a new login.

Wolfloyee is built for that search. Three Team Harmony ratings land as a private Slack DM. The person answering does not need a Wolfloyee account to submit. You need a company account after install to send the pulse and read the score.

The extra-login leak

HRIS email surveys assume people will open a vendor site the same week you send it. Engineering and product teams often will not. They will open Slack. If the pulse is not there, you measure who likes portals, not who is stuck on skills or collaboration.

Keep the annual HR program if you must. Do not make the monthly signal depend on a second inbox and a second password.

Skipper chase is not anonymity

A form labeled anonymous, followed by “we see you have not completed this, Priya,” is not anonymous. It trains people to click 3 on every row.

Wolfloyee does not name skippers to the room. Insights stay locked until n≥3. If two people answer, you wait. A colorful dashboard with four rows is how a small team deanonymizes itself.

Employee happiness without a 40-item form

Happiness in this product is not a vibe sticker. It is three work questions: skills, collaboration, and impact. That is enough to see whether a 15–80 person US tech team is stuck, fighting the process, or shipping work that does not land.

If you need a larger list to choose from, copy from the free bank. Then send the same three. A new question every week is how you lose the trend.

Copy from the 45 pulse survey questions. No account. Keep three for three months if you want a comparable score.

What to send this month

  1. Install Wolfloyee on the workspace. A Slack admin clicks Allow, then claims the company.
  2. Send Team Harmony. Each person gets a private DM. No public channel.
  3. Wait until at least three people on the unit answer before you share a number.
  4. Read skills, collaboration, and impact as a trend, not a stack rank.

Public beta is free. After beta: $1 USD per employee per month on month-end headcount. No credit card to start.

Not a channel poll, not an HR suite

A survey in Slack is not a public poll and not Culture Amp. If you need a full engagement program, keep that vendor. If you need a monthly Slack habit people will finish, this is the pulse.

Suite vs pulse: Wolfloyee vs Culture Amp. Channel vs DM: the Slack pulse guide. Long form vs monthly pulse: the compare page on engagement surveys.

Add to Slack

People answer in a private Slack DM. They do not create a Wolfloyee login just to respond.
